Jungle Camp Nagzira


JUNGLE CAMP NAGZIRA Resort is situated deep inside the forest covered by lush green forest and surrounded by beautiful mountains. Just 122 kms from Nagpur the Nagzira wildlife sanctuary gives you an opportunity to explore wildlife in all new way.

Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra . This sanctuary has a number of fish, 34 species of mammals, 166 species of birds, four species of amphibians  and 36 species of reptiles

Flora: The flora of the sanctuary includes Ain, Dhavda, Bija, Garari, Tinsa, Tendu , Surya, Teak and Bamboo.

Fauna: The fauna includes, besides a number of insects and ant species. The animals commonly spotted are Tigers, Leopards ,Panthers,  Bisons, Sloth Bears, Sambar, Four-Headed Antelope, Civet Cats,  Barking Deers, Blue Bull, Chital, Mouse Deers, Jackals, Jungle Cats, Spotted Hyena, and Hare. Among the birds that are prominent and commonly seen are Peafowl, the Grey Jungle Fowl and the Red Spur Fowl.

Places of interest are Navegaon National Park (50 km), Itiadoh Dam (65 km), Tibetan Camp at Gothangaon (60 km) and Pratapgad (70 km).

Timings: October 1 – June 15

June 16 – September 30 — Closed.



For most of the year, temperatures are moderate and pleasant. The best time to visit is during Oct-April.
